Magnetic Tattoo Removal

The Magnetic Tattoo Removal Technique is a non-invasive method where the needle glides solely on the dermal layer of the skin, making contact only with the uppermost layers without penetrating deeper.  10 weeks before:

• Discontinue any other tattoo removal techniques (Laser, Saline, or Acid)

6 weeks before:

• Avoid any laser hair treatments in surrounding areas.

4 weeks before:

• Discontinue Retin-A.
• No Botox/Dysport or any fillers around the area to be treated.
• For Lips: If you have ever experienced a cold sore or are prone to cold sores, please talk to your doctor to get Valtrex prescribed. Lip treatments can cause flare-ups if you are cold sore prone.

2 weeks before:

• Do not use AHA skincare products close to the area to be treated.

1 week before:

• Avoid sun and tanning.
• No area waxing, plucking, shaving, threading, tinting, microdermabrasion or chemical peels.
• No acne treatments.

24 hours before:

• No alcohol or caffeine.
• Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Advil/Ibuprofen.

Please Note: 

Women will be more sensitive during a menstrual cycle. 

Day of:

• Wash area to be treated.
• For face tattoo removals (eyebrows, eyeliner, lips), come with a bare face (no makeup). Large sunglasses and/or a hat are recommended to protect from sun exposure.
• If you have undergone previous tattoo removal methods, ensure to have Neosporin on hand for post-care.

 First 24 hours after:

• On the way home, use a tissue on the treated area to absorb the lymph.
• You CAN resume your daily activities - work, workout, take a shower, play sports, etc.

For 7 days:

• Keep the treated area clean by using a gentle fragrance-free cleanser and water with freshly washed hands morning and evening (2x/day). 
• Shower daily. Do not use a washcloth or sponge, and for brows, clean the area by moving in the direction of the hair growth. Pat dry.
• If other tattoo removal methods were previously done (i.e., Laser, Saline, or Acid) first apply thin layer of only Neosporin/Fucidin 2% in the morning and evening for first 3 days. Follow next 7 days applying thin layer of only E-Dermis aftercare 3 to 4 times per day. Gently wash treated area before applying any ointment.
• If no other tattoo removal method was previously done, apply E-Dermis aftercare 3 to 4 times per day for 10 days. Gently wash treated area before applying ointment.
• NOTE: For smaller areas (e.g., eyebrows, eyeliner, lips) your E-Dermis aftercare should last your entire tattoo removal process (at least 4 sessions). For larger areas (e.g., body tattoos), additional E-Dermis aftercare will need to be purchased.

For 10 days:

• NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area. Do NOT fill in faded/bald spots during the healing process.  
• Avoid sleeping on your face.
• Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, pool (chlorine is irritating), sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths.
• Avoid sunscreen, fragrance sprays, and any other products except ointments as directed, on the treated area.

During tattoo removal treatment cycles:

• Avoid touching the treated area or the surrounding area unless cleaning or applying ointment as directed.
• NO Botox around the treated area.
• Avoid coloring/tinting hair around treated area. 
• DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause infection and scarring.
• NO facials, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion around treated area.
• No red-light therapy for at least 4 weeks.

• Treated area may be dry, itchy, and have light scabbing.
• The skin will recover after 1-2 weeks.
• The light pink color of skin during healing should NOT be considered as a scar. It is a result of the magnetic friction and will go away. 
• Smokers apply a thin layer of E-Dermis aftercare before smoking.

Follow-up Sessions:

• Eyebrows removal sessions can be done every 3-4 weeks.
• Lips removal sessions can be done every 2-3 weeks.
• Body tattoo removal sessions can be done every 5-8 weeks.
• New Permanent Makeup treatment can be performed after 8 weeks of last magnetic tattoo removal session.
